Olsen Made, Full Stamp, Slick Fork A Fork 17 Saddle. Made by renowned saddle-maker Ray Olsen of Madras, Oregon, now 86 yrs old, he has been making quality saddles for working cowboys and buckaroos since 1954. I had Ray make me this saddle in 1986 and it has seen me through many 16 hour days working horseback. It is in great condition with good fleece . The saddle has an excellent ground seat. It is a slick fork with bucking rolls. 17 slick seat. 4 high 14 wide 3/4 dish, no roll, rawhide bound cantle. Guadalajara dally horn is 3 1/2 tall with 4 diameter rawhide bound cap and mule hide wrap. Gullet is 6 1/4 X 8. Rigging is flat plate double. Full swing fenders. Half breed off side tug. Matching 5 wide rear cinch. 29 strand mohair roping cinch. Rawhide covered 1 wide oxbow stirrups. Turned and wrapped stirrup leathers. Blevins buckles. This saddle is fully stamped with an old style waffle / floral combination. Silver horn cap, cantle and string chonchos. Lace on possibles pouch.
