Riding stable with lesson program is seeking someone with horse experience to do some barn work in exchange for riding time.
Qualifications: This would be a great opportunity for an older teen or young adult who has been taking lessons or is ready for their own horse but cant afford the expense. This person needs to be an intermediate level horse person and be comfortable around horses and people. I am flexible with the hours worked and it may include feeding, cleaning around the barn, grooming, helping saddle & unsaddle and possible help with lessons. The person must have their own transportation as this may include feeding some weekends. Must be 16 or older.

Benefit: I have a nice paint mare that is too advanced for my beginner students, but needs to have someone love on her and ride her. She has done trails, hunter, western and we have started some low jumps with her. I would like to find someone to work in exchange for doing a full or partial lease on this mare. This would give the person access to riding her several days per week and receive some instruction from a trainer. Our barn participates in several shows throughout the year, so there would be the opportunity to take this horse to shows.

For the right person, I am willing to adapt the position to possibly include learning how to start young horses, riding show horses and teaching lower level lessons. Great experience for the horse crazy young person who is in need of horses to ride! Must have horse experience!
