A single position is available for an honest, punctual, motivated learner, over the age of 18.

There will be very little work, except during show weeks, and the schedule is flexible. You will shadow the trainer to morning lessons and training sessions at the clients' homes. The services provided by GCC Dressage & Horsemanship are 100 freelance, off-site training, which means there is no barn, which means there is no barn work. At shows, duties will include braiding, wrapping legs, hand walking and grazing, tacking, grooming, running, and generally long and thankless hours caring for equine athletes. In return you will glean a tremendous wealth of experience and knowledge about the art of classical dressage and general horsemanship. Discounted training on your own horse can be negotiated past a certain term of employment. Riding client horses may be an option for a capable rider. Show experience is a must. English discipline riding experience is preferred. Dressage experience is not necessary. Punctuality, clean appearance, organization, and the ability to be seen and not heard are all required. If you have a problem with being told that you must wear a polo and khakis to shows, don't apply. If you take being occasionally snapped at personally, don't apply. If you prioritize being social on the job to being productive and respectful, don't apply. If you have a thirst for knowledge and a hunger for experience, please apply. There will be no monetary compensation for this position.

Please email me with your experience and personal goals. I will respond to those in whom I am interested within 2 days. If you don't get a reply, perhaps your grammar or spelling gave me the impression that you don't take the position seriously.
