Sadly selling my APHA reining gelding so that I can buy a 'beginner-friendly' family horse that my 2 daughters can learn to ride on. Because of his training, Badger should be with an intermediate rider, or a somewhat experienced beginner perhaps w/a trainer to assist....just not for a true beginner b/c he is responsive & spunky. Sound & sane,
he has great bare feet, EZ keeper, wonderful build halter on papers, fun & playful personality, loves to GO & DO, reining trained so he does all that fun reining stuff...but I don't rein, I just ride for fun - he is a GREAT ride, not spooky, he is super-responsive to leg/seat no need to get in his mouth, I ride w/gentle snaffle, gets along great with other horses he is not the 'boss'. Previous owner did barrels w/him, played on cows, trails, etc. He was hauled a lot to shows & enjoys a job, but ALSO enjoys the attention & pampering...so I will NOT sell to a home that will just run him into the ground.
I would love for him to go to a home where he will have a BALANCED life - lots of love & attention & playtime & trails to go along w/whatever work is asked of him.
In addition to his reining training, he has lovely gaits...easy to sit trot, too... would make a FABULOUS playday/fun show horse, or simply a gorgeous & responsive trail horse! Please call if you have any questions. Trial period possible, preference given to natural horsemanship home.
