Major is the cute one at the barn. All the kids love him and want to ride him. He's got a wild mane and a fluffy, teddy bear body that just begs to be hugged

Major is a shetland pony. He's about 10.2h tall. We mostly have used him as a leadline pony. He has done pony parties and has led tons of kids around.

He is still young, so we haven't ridden him into the ground. He loves the attention and loves the kids crawling all over him, but we haven't ridden him sour like so many people do with young ponies. He loves his job which is mostly to get spoiled and loves being with people.

Usually when the kids ride him we take them on a trail ride on leadline. He is a great little trail pony. He carefully steps over little logs and will trudge through water without hesitation. He will do whatever the horse in front of him does. He will pony off of another horse or lead with a person. The kids who ride him are usually small and beginners. If your child has ridden before and can steer, he will ride independently. Mostly he likes to follow the other horses. I have put small teens on him to teach him to ride independently, and they can walk and trot him around, but I mostly like to use him for leadline because that's what I needed him for.

Because he is 3 years old, I won't say he's bomb proof because no horse could possibly be at 3, but he's very quiet and is not spooky. I trust him around the kids. He learns quickly. If you have a small enough rider to teach him to canter and continue his lessons of trotting off by himself, he'll learn very fast. He's very smart.

Major is really easy to handle. He leads and is easy to catch. He's super quiet during grooming and bath time. He lets the kids pick up all of his feet without any fuss. He loads onto any trailer. He likes the vet and farrier, and is no problem at all for them.

Everyone loves Major. He's super-cute, and has an adorable personality. He blinks his long eye lashes at you and you just melt. I have tons of pictures of him and some video of him on trails, getting on and off the trailer and with the kids playing with him. If you are interested in him, I can send you some of these.
