Lady Bel is a 1985 14.2 mare. She is a sweet old mare who was probably well-trained at one time. She has been ridden at a walk, trot, and canter in her foster home. She is pretty easy to handle and does know how to longe. She does try to balk when she doesn't want to do something, but if you nudge her on she will move out and behave. She is very sensitive to leg pressure. She isn't one who needs or likes to be kicked! She lowers her head for you to put the bridle on. She is great at picking up her feet, and she loads pretty well into the trailer. On her second ride, she did walk, trot and canter with minimal leg pressure. She didn't want to pick up her left lead, but she was great otherwise. She will get stubborn from time to time, but usually one kick will get her moving again if she slows. Lady Bel will make someone a terrific riding companion, but at her age, has probably earned a slower pace and shouldn't be considered for competition or hard riding. Located in Dripping Springs, TX
