Kimberly Lennon-Freire has over 36 years of experience with horses riding, competing, teaching, barn management, producing clinics, and training. Kim uses a progressive style of teaching..being careful to not rush or overface a horse or rider and only advances them when it can be safely done. "It is always smarter to do tons of preparation at home or schooling as much as possible as long as you are not jumping your horse's legs off than to try and "wing it" with too little preparation and find out the hard way at a schooling or recognized horse trial after spending tons of money that you weren't prepared enough to be competitive. Regaining confidence takes much more doing than the effort and thought involved in not losing it in the first place."
Straightness, Rhythm, Balance, and Control are taught through well thought out lesson plans. Kim also encourages her riders to go to clinics, cross train, and to know that success comes from hard work...and it is not always in the form of a blue ribbon. Kim continues to train and compete herself. The big difference in Kim's teaching style is that she uses a camera. It has proved a very successful method being able to show a rider DURING their lesson what they are doing wrong but most importantly what they are doing correctly.
