Bellmara Stables is a full service equestrian center located in South Beloit. Bellmara offers premier boarding facilities, has a comprehensive lesson program and is also home to Huizinga Training.
BOARDING
Bellmara features: 41 indoor stalls 4 large foaling stalls. All stalls are equipped with automatic waters and rubber mats. Aisleways are heated by radiant heaters. We have a 60' x 180' indoor arena that can be heated for those very cold winter days. Horse care is of our utmost concern at Bellmara, so there is a professional wellness program in place. All inside horses are turned out in ...dry lots or small pastures upon request. There are approximately 20 acres of pasture for the outside boarders.

OUR LESSONS
Learning to ride at Bellmara is a fun and exciting experience. Whatever your riding ability, whatever goals and desires you may have - Bellmara can get you there. With friendly and knowledgeable instructors from a range of disciplines and backgrounds, Bellmara is able to meet all of your equestrian needs. Our instructors will work with each individual client, and will develop a lesson plan that is customized for each student. We offer lessons which cater for all skill levels, these include:
SKILL LEVELS
BEGINNER: Groom, Bridle, Leading, Saddling, Mounting, Steering, Dismounting, Exercises at Walk, Walk Without Stirrups.
NOVICE: Trot, Diagonals, Exercises at Trot, Sitting at Trot.
INTERMEDIATE: Canter, Leads, Two Point at Trot, Trot without Stirrups, Begin Patterns.
ADVANCED: Canter without Stirrups, Two Point at Canter Patterns, Bareback, Collection, Specialize Hunt Seat, Specialize Saddle Seat, Specialize Western Seat
Learning to ride is an ongoing process that requires basic skills as well as training, balance, flexibility and feel. Riders develop at different levels at their own pace. We are able to offer lessons to suit your schedule. We also offer a senior riding program - just call or email us to find out more!
HUIZINGA TRAINING
Huizinga Training offers a full line of services to meet the needs of today's horse owner. They specialize in the show divisions of halter, showmanship, western, saddle seat and hunt for the Arabian and Half-Arabian breed. Their expertise, however, is driven from extensive knowledge and years of experience working with renowned trainers with all breeds. They offer a full range of training and showing programs individually suited for each horse and rider's needs. At Huizinga Training, their mission is to provide the best care for our client's horses and to create an environment that is not only educational but enjoyable. They anticipate the needs of their clients and horses to ensure total satisfaction by all.
