As the owner of Rachel Fail Equine Appraisal Services, I am an independent, certified equine appraiser, which means that I professionally appraise horses. My clients have horses appraised for a wide variety of reasons: for insurance claims, for tax purposes, divorce settlements, securing loans, bankruptcies, business partnerships, estate settlements, family trusts, and so forth.

I realize that you, or your clients, don't need to have a horse appraised every day. However, when you do need this service, you will want a value that you can depend upon. I do my work in compliance with national appraisal standards, the Uniform Standard of Professional Appraisal Practice USPAP, adhering to the same standards all professional real estate and personal property appraisers use. I also adhere to the Code of Ethics made by the American Society of Equine Appraisers. This requires that I appraise horses in a manner that can be explained objectively. Based upon solid market research and analysis, my appraisal will lead to a provable market value which complies with national appraisal standards.

A fact-based, accurate appraisal developed in compliance with national appraisal standards can make the difference between winning or losing in a legal dispute. I am an active member of the American Society of Equine Appraisers and have an extensive knowledge of various breeds of horses and equine disciplines. I'm experienced with over 25 different breeds, both domestic and foreign. My horse expertise, appraisal training and experience have allowed me to provide my clients with an honest, accurate, unbiased value of horses that can withstand the stresses of a deposition or trial.
