Focus on Connecticut Cutting
Traditionally found on ranches, cutting horses are bred and trained to predict what the cow will do next and then move to prevent it--a skill particularly useful for sorting cattle. The cutting horse and rider are judged on their ability to separate a single cow from a herd of cattle and keep it away for a short period of time.
