We offer safe unstressful starting of young horses and retraining of problem horses. Our approach is slow and proper. Each horse is brought along at their level and never rushed. You get a much better minded horse when they are started slow. It usually takes us two months to get a young horse that has never been ridden to walk trot and canter. All horses learn how to groom, tack, tie, load and get farrier work done while they are here.We only take three horses per month so the right amount of time is taken with each horse and there is rush to get all of them ridden. Every horse that has been trained by shadows run farm has a wonderful base to their training. Manners are very important to our training and is worked on from day one.
