At Passion Horse, Its all about the Horses. That's more than just a motto, it is how the ranch survives. Through the love and hard work of our all volunteer force, these horses are purchased from slaughter or salvaged from abusive or neglectful situations. Many fear being touched by humans. They are brought by trailer to Passion Horse Ranch where they are taught that human hands are loving things that bring food, heal wounds and share the warmth and compassion of touch. These horses are immediately made a part of the family and put on a customized path to recovery and rehabilitation. Each person who spends time volunteering at Passion Horse Ranch gives each hour directly from their heart. The work here is not easy, but it is so rewarding. Watching a horse that has only run from humans come to the gate to greet the volunteers and not only allowing hands to touch them, but actually wanting that love is a very special moment indeed.
