Horse rescues play a crucial role within the horse-related community as a whole.
At LocalHorse, we may be a small community but we are mighty – full of horse-related businesses and enthusiast who want to make a difference and help those that help our equine friends. And that is why we will be featuring a Horse Rescue of the Month.
Each month, LocalHorse will highlight a horse rescue that is making a difference in the equine community. LocalHorse community members can nominate a rescue to be recognized each month. The rescue will receive a donation of 5% of all Premier ad listings in that month.
Nominate a Horse Rescue
Rescues work with horses providing rehabilitation, retirement and care for horses that are no longer functional, no longer cared for or in danger. A lot of rescues work tirelessly with little recognition and an even smaller amount of funds and resources. They provide transportation, housing, veterinary care, maintenance, nutrition, socialization, training and most importantly, love and attention. And none of the services comes without a cost.
The Rescue of the Month will receive:
- Recognition on LocalHorse.com
- Recognition on LocalHorse.com’s social media sites
- A featured article about the rescue
- 5% of all Premier Ad sales for the month
Horse rescues must meet the minimum requirements of being a horse-rescue that has a 501(c)3 not-for-profit designation with an online presence and be based in the US. All Rescues of the Month are subject to review and approval of LocalHorse and the organization.
